56. Prayer @the Gates Strategy Explained

PRAYER Strategy Explained

This Prayer@The-Gates initiative is focused on putting ‘A STAKE in the GROUND’ for His REVIVAL FIRE TO BURN through all 8 spheres of Society.

When, Where & What

  • We will be praying for 7 Sunday from the 14th of April until the 16th of May 26th at 16h – 17h.
  • We pray at strategic places in or around our towns & cities.
  • Prayer guidelines will be posted on this website/blog platform for every weeks prayers

We will be building up from week 1 to 7… to end with the GOVERNMENTAL Gate/Sphere on Sunday the 26th of May 2024.

We are praying for :

S-ANCTIFICATION

K-INGDOM REFORM as we
E-NCOUNTER HIS PRESENCE

WE come together in a CORPORATE setting at the GATES to declare into the spiritual realm, changing the atmosphere, to stir up by faith a cataclysmic effect that can turn these wicked cultures around TO BRING REVIVAL IN ALL SPHERES of society….

We do this by stepping out into the streets and to lift up our prayers by FAITH in our Lord Jesus – that has died for us, to save us from eternal death & the sins of this world.

By Faith we have been saved, by Grace alone! For His Kingdom purposes to influence this earthly quest of life, strengthening us to endure until Christ returns and to usher the Good-News Gospel of our Savior’s redemptive sacrifice into every home in our towns, cities, villages and streets until the corridors of this nations hallways and high places of influence have been summoned to bow its knee to the Only Great King – Jesus Christ our Lord..

DREAM of REVIVAL BREAKING OUT

God gave me a dream in +-2008 that a Revival Fountain will erupt from the center of SA with the Bible at its crown. Fires started to burn around every province, burning to ashes all unrighteousness, the things that is operating in this nation that is not of God.

The robe and trail of a BRIDE was hanging at the see shore boundaries around our nation and over Africa… The fountain started to spill over with the Word of God as its banner and the small green grasses started to sprout in every province.

This dream is for NOW, for this day for this kairos moment in time.

As I was singing Ps. 102 in our local church one evening, 12+ years ago, it started raining so load and the thunder rumbled in a very special way. We knew God was there with us.. prophesying with us the coming revival. These Scripture became foundational in that year over a broad spectrum ministry community.

Psa 102:12-22
(12) But You, O LORD, shall endure forever, And the remembrance of Your name to all generations.
(13) You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come.
(14) For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, And show favor to her dust.
(15) So the nations shall fear the name of the LORD, And all the kings of the earth Your glory.
(16) For the LORD shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory.
(17) He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, And shall not despise their prayer.
(18) This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the LORD.
(19) For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; From heaven the LORD viewed the earth,
(20) To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To release those appointed to death,
(21) To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, And His praise in Jerusalem/South Africa,
(22) When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

54. 1st WK – 14 April 24 – Prayer @ The Gates Strategy.

Greetings to all Prayer Partners!
Great excitement is arising as the Prayer@The-Gates initiative given by God is rolled out through S.A.

Through the 7 weeks P@G, a 7-step strategy is rolled out building up to the 7th week for
GOVERNMENTAL prayer. We therefore start by praying for the other areas/spheres first.
We will therefore, have added focus per week on one of the 7 Gates/Spheres of Society as follows: 1. Family 2. Belief 3. Economy 4. Education 5. Science & Technology, 6. Media, Arts, Sports 7. Government & Culture

1st Key Scripture: Immanuel – God with us! Jehovah Shamah – God who is here!
Isa 8:8-10 …of Your land, O Immanuel. (9) “Be shattered, O you peoples, (10) Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us.”

A. Strategic Preparation BEFORE we go to PRAY at the City Gates

1. Please PREPARE the following: (as you feel led by the Holy Spirit):

Communion elements served at the gate: take along water/grape juice/crackers and plastic cups
Salt (symbolic of cleansing and preservation the gate/road),
Oil (symbolic to anoint the gate/road for a sign of sanctification)
Shofar, trumpet, or recording of shofar blasts at the end (symbolic of the trumpets of heaven…)

2. Come with prepared hearts according to these suggested guidelines: (C. Jacobs, 2006)

Yield to the leading of Holy Spirit. (Rom 8:5, 7-11)
Be mature in the Spirit. (Php 3:14-16,20, Eph3:8-12)
Be free from known sin. (Rom 6, 1Pet2:11-12)
Sever unbelief and fear, come full of faith in God & Christ our victorious King. (Col 1&2, Heb10:35-39)
Be under submission to a local church/ministry. (Num 27:15-23; 1Pet2:4-10,Heb13:17)

3. Explaining GATES : What do we mean by ‘Gate’?

(Nahum3, Is.26:2, Ps87:2, 24:9, 147:12-15, 118:19)

  • ‘Gates’ here refer to entry points of towns and the 8 spheres of Society as we found it in the Bible.
  • At the Gates of the Cities everything happened. From betrothals, healings, councils, elder counsels, stoning/discipline, signing of contracts & here agreements were made for business, marriage… (Rev21)

4. Initial guidelines preparing ourselves for this time of Prayer in foundational positioning

-The Armour of God. (Eph6, Ps91)

Before you leave for the time of prayer, clothe yourself, your family and those praying with you & the whole (P@G) initiative with the armour of God – to all areas of your life: relationships, house, vehicles, finances/business/job, health…

-Repentance. (Ps24, Ps51 & Is59:1-2)

As we repent, we take responsibility for our own thoughts, words, and actions and any known sin.

Ask God to show you specific sins that give demons the right to establish strongholds.

Involvement in Witchcraft & New Age may require fasting and declaring the Word as Jesus did in the wilderness. (C. Jacobs, 2006)

B. Introduction: PRAYER@the-GATES (P@G) – Week 1 – ONE GOD!

2nd Key Scripture: Deu 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!
“Hear, O Hear, South Africa: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!

3rd Key Scripture: In Ps 2 God encourages us that we should ask of Him … and He will give us the nations as our inheritance… His Kingdom inheritance for South Africa.

Psa 2:1-12
(1) Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? (2) The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
(3) “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”
(4) He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The LORD shall hold them in derision.
(5) Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:
(6) “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”
(7) “I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
(8) Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your

C. Strategic Prayer Guidelines for PRAYER@the-GATES (P@G)

1. Thanksgiving, Praise & Adoration of our God, Creator, Father & Redeemer. (Ps148)

2. Welcome the Holy Spirit, God’s Holy Fire & the fulness of Christ into your midst. (Heb12:29)

Isa 11:3-5

(3) His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; (4) But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. (5) Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

  • Declare the SOVEREIGNTY of God – One God, one Hope, one faith, one Spirit of the Lord. (Ef4:3-6)
  • Honour GOD as our CREATOR & FATHER. Honor Him! (Ps99)

3. Repentance (personal):

Lead group in personal repentance, humbling. (Ps24, 51, Jam 4:7)
Act 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
Rom 2:4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

4. Communion:

In remembrance of Christ’s perfect redemption for our sins reconciling us back into
the Father’s presence. His body broken. By the Blood we enter through the veil.
(Mat26:26-29, Heb.9:11-12, Is53, Jhn12:1)

5. Protection:

From Job 1:10, pray for God’s hedge of protection – yourself/prayer partners…
Put on the whole armour of God to stand, keep on standing.
(Eph 6:10-20, Ps91, 121, 68)

6. Declarations of Who God is.

“Hear O Israel / S.A. the Lord thy God is ONE God Hallelujah”.

WHO GOD IS: Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name!

1Ti 2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
Eph 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling.
1Co 8:6 Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.
Jas 4:12 There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?
Jos 24:27 And Joshua said to all the people, “Behold, this stone shall be a witness to us, for it has heard all the words of the LORD which He spoke to us. It shall therefore be a witness to you, lest you deny your God.”
Mar 12:30 And you shall love the lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.

Week One – FAMILY GATE – “Our Father, Who are in heaven, Holy is Your name”

7. Identification Repentance for the FAMILY sphere/gate in society

  • We identify with, and confess the root sins in society.
  • Lack of love, awe, respect & reverence for God our Father, Jesus – Son of man, Brother, Bridegroom.
    • Lack of love for others, abuse, human trafficking…, rejection, jealousy, striving…fear
    • Lack of respect for parents, rebellion against parents/elders/discipline – is as witchcraft!
    • Lack of respect for LIFE! Abortion, murder, rape, sexual-sins, perverseness, violence…
    • Lack of respect for marriage covenant of God between man & women, adultery, gender confusion

8. Close the gate – Bind the bond of unrighteousness in the Family gate/ sphere:

  • Bind the strongholds of fear, sin, righteousness, violence in the FAMILY GATE. (Ps34 &134)
  • [[[Any demonic high places – to be specifically address. Blindness to fall away, their eyes to be opened. Bind witchcraft from operating through them and claim people for the kingdom of God.]]]

Mat 18:18-20
(18) “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
(19) “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
(20) For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

9. Scripture declarations – into the FAMILY sphere of society: (Ps 127 & 128)

Pray for the healing of hearts, relationships, families… broken lives. RESTORATION in the FAMILY.

Mal 4:2-3
(2) But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.
Mal 4:5-6
(5) Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great…(6) And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.
Psa 68:5-6
(5) A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation.
(6) God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

10. Open the Gates – Loosen the bonds & Receive the Keys to unlock the door of His reign into our Nation

Rellease the PEACE of God over the 7 spheres of Society: Family, Belief, Economy, Education, Science & Technology, Media, Art & Sports, Government & Culture.

  • Loosen the Good-news Gospel of truth into the FAMILY sphere.
  • Make declarations of Faith, Hope & Love, Righteousness, Justice, Mercy.
  • PRAY/declare the changes, transformation, restoration, restitution you (want to) see in this nation.
  • Scriptures:
    Jos 24:15 “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
    Jos 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.
    Jos 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
    1Th 5:8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. (1 Co313:13)
    Psa 89:13 You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. 14) Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.

11. The Lord’s Prayer – All pray this together. Leader led, pray it at a slow rhythmic pace. (Mat6:9-13)

12. Thanksgiving, Praise & Celebration

– of Christ’s victory on the cross. Release your testimony of what Christ did, who He is that seals the overcoming spirit of the Bride over all. (Rev12:10-11)

13 Shofar blast and last farewell Prayer.

Pray for God’s Peace, Presence, Power, and Protection to ENTER the GATES of TZANEEN. (Ps24)

53. Prayer Partners Preparation for Prayer @The-Gates

Good day all Prayer @The-Gates’ Partners

In preparation for this season of strategic prayer for our nation we want to be:

Aligned (in association and in unity with prayer group/s, a spiritual covering, a local church/community of mature believers)

Num 27 & Heb13:17

Positioned (set in redemption’s covenant promises and the reverential fear & awe of God)

Psa 111:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.
Pro 1:7  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Pro 9:10  “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Commissioned (in the covering of God’s protection, power, wisdom & sovereignty).

Isa 11:2-3
(2)  The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
(3)  His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

Therefore, you are requested to consider these suggested guidelines as you embark for prayer& intercession:

1. Secure our testimony of Christ, His death, resurrection & ascension & your identity in Christ.

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (1Co15:3-4; Eph 1; 1Jh5)

2. Close up the holes in your armour.

Pro 26:2 Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, So a curse without cause shall not alight.

On a daily basis:

1. Thanksgiving & Praise:

Thanksgiving, praise & adoration of our Holy, most high God & Saviour.
(Ps.100, 103, 145-150)

2. Humility:

Humble yourself before God and surrender completely to His will in obedience to His calling.(Is57:7, Jas4:5-7,10, Ps 10:17, 18:27)

3. Repentance:

3.1 Cleanse yourself of and all known & unknown sin. Let go of strife, self-righteousness/realization through the haughtiness in flesh driven works.
(Ef 2:1-9; 1Pe1:19, 1Jh1:7)

3.2 Forgive each other and cleanse your hearts of all pride, offense, bitterness & unforgiveness.
(James 4:8-12, Ps 24 & 51)

3.3 Receive His forgiveness through the blood of Christ.
(Hebr.9:11-28)

3.4 Strongholds: Deal with strongholds in your life re. your thoughts, words & deeds, especially in all relationships with man, matter & mammon.
(2Cor6; Col 3, Jas4:7)

4. Put on the Armour of God that we may keep on standing

(Ef.6:1-4, 10-20)
Eph 6:10-13
(10)  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
(11)  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
(12)  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
(13)  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

5. Pray for Protection

For yourself, your family(children), all acquaintances, your vocation (finances), possessions and the calling on your/their lives. (Job1:10, Ef2:10)(Ps 91, 121, 68)

6. Cover in Prayer

Everyone that will join your Gate in prayer and who are linked to the Prayer Initiatives in RSA, re. the elections, that the UNITY, joy & love in and through the Body of Christ will become our strength to rise up in His victorious triumphant procession.
(Jh.17)
Joh 17:20-21
(21)  that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

7. Pray The Lord’s Prayer daily

Together with your children/loved ones & give Him all the glory, hour & praise.
(Matt6:9-15)

Take communion as you are led by the Holy Spirit as you seek HIs face.

In conclusion:

Add your own Prayer Preparation to be fully hidden in His Covenant promises, provision, peace and the favour of God.

I pray that our God will bless, keep, guide and give you peace as we embark on this journey together for the sake of our Nation and our next generations .

Rom 15:13
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

52. Prayer @ The GATES Initiative Released

Good day all BELIEVERS in CHRIST – RSA

7 x 1 HOUR Prayer

I hereby submit a PRAYER STRATEGY that can be released at will into faith communities, to Church Leaders & Spiritual Elders of your town/city/village/ suburb…and in your area.
[I will use our town as example:]

PRAYER @ THE GATES
14 April – 26 May 2024

The Lord released this PRAYER strategy for the 7 x Sundays before the elections.

With the continuous prayer for the elections that is initiated from the apparent 40 different platforms in the country, the Lord is calling us to account and pray for this nation’s condition.
Is 59-62

Our God has His plan for South Africa, to become the nation that He has destined it to be from the beginning of time… in order for Him to be hailed as the only true God of this nation… to receive all the honor and glory. He is the Creator, Savior and Redeemer of this Nation.

Zec 3:9-10

(9) For behold, the stone That I have laid before Joshua: Upon the stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its inscription,’ Says the LORD of hosts, ‘And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
(10) In that day,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘Everyone will invite his neighbor Under his vine and under his fig tree.’ “

There is a great testimony of the previous time when the Lord instructed us to pray at the “Gates” of Tzaneen. It had a paralyzing effect on the hostility & eminent anarchy that was embarking on our streets to disrupt the peace in our town. And as yet we have to keep on praying continuously and keep on standing in the gap… while we ourselves come in unison to stand together as one, as Christ and the Father are One. (Jhn 17)

Mat 7:13-14 (MSG)

(13)  “Don’t look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don’t fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do.
(14)  The way to life—to God!—is vigorous and requires total attention.

Would you be able to take this further from your church/faith group/ fellowship side…?

It would be wonderful if the different Christ Faith Churches/fellowships could initiate it from their own groups as we could do this together at liberty to do as you are led.

1Ti 2:1-6

(1)  Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
(2)  for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
(3)  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
(4)  who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
(5)  For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
(6)  who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,

SUGGESTED STRATEGY

Starting on Sunday the 14th of April and ending on the seventh Sunday, the 26th of May.

WHEN:

1. Identify the (7) Gates around your town/city/area. (Marked on a map if applicable)

Jos 1:3-6 Let the church as part of the commonwealth of Israel take up their position.
(3)  Every place upon which the sole of your foot shall tread, that have I given to you, as I promised Moses.
(6)  Be strong (confident) and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

2. Appoint a responsible person/facilitator for each Gate you would man for each Sunday.

In order for mobilizing, overseeing and feedback, and ask them to invite people to join them at assembly points.

1Ti 2:8
(8)  I desire therefore that in every place men should pray, without anger or quarreling or resentment or doubt [in their minds], lifting up holy hands.

3. Identify the specific gate where you want to pray.

Motivate people to identify the gate where they would like to attend and ask all to invite everyone on their media platforms to partake.

Psa 122:6  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.

We hereby will release the BANNER of GOD’s NAME over this nation and put HIS NAME’S STAKE in the ground as we repent and ask God “to heal our land” :

  • Symbolically we put our feet on the ground to pray and declare His name over our towns and nation – for His righteous Kingdom rule to be established in our nation. (Joshua 1:3, Ps. 89:14)
  • The Body of Christ to rise up in unity to be one in God (John 17)
  • Declarations & repentance unto salvation & eternal life only found in the truth of the Good News Gospel of Christ into our area & nation: Christ’s Blood speak forgiveness unto LIFE, NOT death! People to turn back to God their Father and Lord.
  • As we humble ourselves and come in heartfelt repentance, the Lord forgives our sins and cleans us unto redemption. We can therefore come boldly to the Throne of grace to receive mercy in this hour as we stand in the GAP – on the rampart of the walls of our nation. The perfect price Christ paid for our redemption; – for nations, tribes & tongues redeems us back to the Father. (Heb 9&10)
  • AS with Jericho we come together to release the Sound of the Almighty’s Voice (Shofar) over the area – releasing His REIGN and victory over sin and darkness. (Josh 6:4, Judges 7)
  • Anoint the roads with the oil/salt as symbol of HIS cleansing, protection, preservation and His PRESENCE we desire to hover over our Nation. (Is 21 & Dan 9)
  • We pray the End time purposes and plans of God to be established by His mighty working power – by His right hand – for ourselves, Body of Christ, our towns, country areas and nation.

  • Your Word of Truth to be honoured & restored as the key principle in people’s lives – as in Your church.

  • Where Your house of worship have been commercialized and humanized by the flesh’s weak commitments, sensation seeking, entertainment and lack of genuine faith.

2. His PRESENCE ensures TRANSFORMATION

“We are transformed into a “different”, “new man”/person as we encounter God’s Holy Spirit’s presence by Faith”

2.1 Transformation by ACKNOWLEDGING the Holy Spirit

3.1 AUTHORITY – For the sake of HIS KINGDOM’S REIGN

Joh 5:27 (The Father) gave Christ authority to execute judgment because He is the Son of Man.

Christ has given us His authority – to execute it in HIS NAME…:

Pray therefore to take up your authority in Christ to go, and do His will!

Lord, we pray for Your kingdom reform to come in this now kairos-season :

  • The Fivefold ministry of Christ to be rightly positioned & aligned for this season – honored and unconditionally administered through Your Church/Body of Christ.
  • To work where you work. To flow with Your Holy Spirit – to see Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven! Our eyes to see & be fixed on You.
  • We repent where we have withstood or disobeyed the reform in our lives.

Prayer for all (our) spiritual leaders – Pastors,… to be:

  • Strengthened in God’s presence by a renewed imparted flow of the Holy Spirit.
  • Equipped by the Holy Spirit’s guidance, wisdom, authenticity and creativity in the Father’s unifying love.
  • Leading the Body of Christ in the empowered rest of God, as Christ is their Head and Chief to lead them in all things.
  • Facilitate transformation through His encountered presence, revelation, insight and JOY in each aspect of shepherding the flock.
  • Set apart for service through His anointing, by the power of the Holy Spirit that breaks the yoke & lighten the soul & flesh burdens.
  • Depending completely on Him – making the yoke easy.

As we ABIDE IN & have ENCOUNTERS with the Holy Spirit, we hear Him speak to us in a different way – “In the newness of the Holy Spirit! (Rom 7:6)

Let us pray for people to engage & be transformed by ENCOUNTERS in His presence that will change the atmosphere, situations and chaos around us.

Therefore, – ALLOW the Holy Spirit to touch your heart every day…

    taxing habits & the “busyness” that keeps us from His presence…

  • We trust in Your guidance from temptation and protection from the evil one.

NOW is the time for the church to STAKE its final FAITH DECLARATION into the ground and let it count for Your power to change the world around us for Your glory.

  1. The church now to arise in prophetic intercession for RSA.

2. Believers/ leaders to be strengthened to take up their cross in Christ’s Name, pick up their mantels.

3. The influence of the church in this area to increase exponentially with the TRUTH and CHARACTER of Christ.

4. For godly characters to develop. Our characters need to develop to endure the process, enabling us to carry the gift that God has bestowed on us all.

TESTIMONY of GOD’S ANGELS of PROTECTION WITH US

A powerful testimony of God’s protection over our lives that a dear school friend of mine shared with me… testifying that our God is alive and with us every moment, everywhere!

On Friday (1.3.24) at 16:00, she was driving towards Roodepoort from Kemptonpark and was waiting at a (broken) traffic light. She was the 3rd car on the London Road bridge waiting to turn right onto the offramp towards the highway.

In the right rearview mirror, she saw someone approaching her window, pulling out a weapon. There were also one or two at the passenger window to the left.

The man at her window demanded her valuables… and she heard and saw the weapon being armed… Stunned by the mere gravity of the moment and thinking about the reports in the media that you should rather just co-operate in situations like these, she opened her window halfway, and was on the point of handing over her wedding ring and phone, as he continued shouting, “Give it, give it, Granny, give it!”

Then, suddenly realizing that the car in front had started moving, she closed her window and at the same time drove off quickly… ducking for the gunshots that were surely to follow.
But nothing further happened…

She testifies that it was only by God’s grace that she was alerted to see the car in front moving, as she does not generally think on her feet. The decision to race off was not hers .

In retrospect, she realized that the 1 or 2 men at the passenger window had no weapons, were not shouting, and did not knock or try to open the door…
They were clothed in white…
It must have been angels…

We praise God together with her for this amazing testimony that could have been so much different if God had not intervened.

He is the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit in your innermost being who lead you every step of the way as you yield to His pre-eminence within you.

The pride of life & the things of this world forces its priority on us. Only as He is lifted on high all who wills to “see” will be drawn unto Him and He will be glorified! Hailed by all of creation! Worshipped as the Great I am !

Pride of Life…

Extreme is the task that lays ahead,
Gross the calamity of our flesh, soul and sinful dread,
Weaknesses that ensnares our path,
And, oh, the pride of life that tempts in our head.

Man of God…

Oh, man of God lay down your crown!
Rather dare to follow The Son instead
His ways are pure, His words are truth,
He speaks of love amongst many other gracious worth.

Before His Throne…

Have you yet considered the moment before His Throne?
When asked what did you do with love?
How many days was self your lead?
Now to reveal your recited self-righteous creed.

Feed His sheep…

Low we bow before Your greatness, Lord,
To lay down our crowns and sword,
How fallible our greatest speech,
And yet you send us to feed Your sheep.

Forgive us Lord…

Strengthen now our feeble knees,
Burn our lips with cleansing coals,
We want to make Your kingdom proud,

As we wage w-r with man and sinful seed our own lives are measured for faithful deeds. The standard being His humbled birth and selfless lead…

– Align then to His humble Birth

Nations are at w-r
and People are fighting!
Throwing words and b-mbs
Seek resolve in g-n-blaze lightning

This folly makes me wonder…
Even more so – to ponder
What is their ‘just’ thinking
This might then dissolve?

How angry are they really!
How much anger is yet to come?
Is this not the rage against
The G-d… they too belong?

Wise counsel to steer the way
Yet, No answer to our frantic prayers!
Angry at This G-d – unmoved
by our demanding charade!

Controversial challenges
Leave us unsettled and unnerved
He seemed not to care, to dare…
Left us dabbling in our despair

For this is not an easy weight
to wear His golden crown

What others think of us?

Proverbs 18:17

“The first in his cause seems just, but his neighbor comes and searches him.”

“His neighbor cometh and searcheth him out.”

It is easy to boast of what we are or are not, but the real question is as to what others think of us?

Would that credit us with the highest attainments in Christian living? Would they concede the reality and beauty of our characters?

After all, might not we be mistaking our ideals for our attainments, and judging ourselves by a lower standard than we apply to others?

Might not our wives and sisters, our husbands and brothers search us?

It is so much easier to plead our own cause in a meeting than to stand clear in the searching scrutiny of the home.

And if our neighbors search us, what does God think of us as the fierce light of His eyes scans us and reads our deepest secrets?

What should we do… were it’s not for the blood of Christ?

I used to hesitate once to call myself a miserable sinner, but as I know myself better, I begin to feel that it is a reasonable designation.

That is what we are by nature, though we have been made by divine grace, children, heirs, joint heirs with Christ.

Job, the righteous man confessed himself vile when God’s light revealed him.

He might have been conscious enough that his heart was none so pure, but it might consent to do many an evil thing, yet crimes so flagrant as those the prophet had foretold of him, he thought himself quite incapable to commit…
Ah, my brethren, the ignorance of Hazael is ours to a greater or less degree.
In our natural state we are oblivious of the depravity of our own hearts…
Ay, but, my brethren, we were, to a great degree, cured of this our ignorance when the Spirit of God brought us under conviction…
Much of our ignorance was taken away; but alas! how much remained!…
None of us know, after all, much of the baseness of our hearts…
The depravity of our nature forbids… a venturing or presuming to play and toy with temptations…
He who carries gunpowder about him had better not stand where there are many sparks…
I implore thee, therefore, as thou wouldst honor thy God, and thou wouldst stand in brightness, go not I beseech thee where the temptation to sin is glaring, and flatter thyself that thou will come out guileless…
God grant that we may not… be as Hazael, the perpetrators of crimes of which we never suspected ourselves capable.

I trust and pray with my whole heart that you are well.

In relation with the strategic mission of SABACKTOGOD Ministries… the Lord has laid it deep in my heart that we will pray into the 8 spheres of society.

CALL TO PRAYER

It is crucial that we lift up our voices in PRAYER and rise up, where we can, to have an influence directly into these 8 gates of society.

Many of you/us are battle weary…and can’t even think where to get the strength and energy to pray these days with the same fervor… let alone to go and do!

The enemy has attacked us from all sides… and the many distractions in our daily lives are tiring our souls to the point that we want to let go of our guard and our prayers of petition and intercession.

And yet we KNOW that PRAYER, together with a sound mind, power, and love that He has given us.. is the way…

BUT GOD ♎ ‼️

He will give us His strength again. He will gird up our loins with His vigor and Spirit Armor. God will be our flank on the sides and our rearguard prayer.

HE IS the victory!
HE IS the battle already won!
HE is the answer!
He is the perfect END to our destiny and mission.
He is our strength and focussed vision!!!

And HE IS in the midst of our day to day walking out of every little step… by step.

He is our Help, our Guard, Guide and Glory.
HE IS the REWARD.
HE is the HOPE in our story…
He IS EVERY DAY!

NOT one day, HE IS not!

A CRITICAL MOMENT IN SOUTH AFRICA

It is a very crucial moment in the history of SA and our Father is relying on His kinsmen to rise up to the occasion and stand on the rampart. To decree into the spiritual realm what we want to see happening in the physical.

It is not the time to sink into the down bubble SIGHT of our soul dimension.
It is now the time to encourage each other to SEE and DECLARE according to the SIGHT from the higher heights of the EAGLE’S flight.

We come to REPENT INDIVIDUALLY & CORPORATELY for all sins, iniquities, trespasses, and disobedience regarding our service unto You, Your people and in ourselves.

Each one of us needs to receive our own revelation & understanding of what Christ did for us on the Cross.
WHAT a privilege then to gather together around the Communion Table to allow the Holy Spirit to minister to us.

WE NEED TO CHANGE

AS YOU COME to the Communion TABLE… something in you need to CHANGE.
• Something in us needs to CHANGE and BREAK, that something can BREAK-THROUGH.

IF NOT – this can MOST LIKELY just become another ritual in our lives.

THE ELEMENTS on the Communion Table

ON this TABLE THERE ARE 3 MAIN ELEMENTS
• THE BREAD represents Christ’s BODY broken…
• THE WINE / GRAPE-SAP represents His Life & His BLOOD shed for us:
• THE CROSS is AN ALTAR – representing A PLACE for the atonement work of Christ,
a place of TRANSITION.

THE EXCHANGE at the Communion Table

THIS TABLE also SPEAKS of an ANCHOR-POINT of EXCHANGE!!
• You bring your STUFF – put it on the table.
• We bring our brokenness, disappointment, hurt, fears, challenges, flaws… our sins. We bring our needs, sicknesses and failures… and lay it down…

• In EXCHANGE we pick up the bread & the wine, the symbols of the victorious Christ… We EAT the elements. It becomes PART OF US as He now becomes part of our life.

• What happens here is not a ritual, a custom or religious action… IT is real!!
• WE do not only come to RECEIVE – BUT ALSO to ACCEPT it BY FAITH.
• You have to PERSONALIZE the Cross for your own life… making this experience at the Communion Table real to your personal life…

THE BREAD

THE BREAD SPEAKS of His Body – BROKEN, BRUISED, BEATEN
• We bring our BROKENNESS and LET GO… to receive something new from Him…
• We RECEIVE His WHOLENESS in exchanged for our failures & distresses.
• NOW we can step into RESTORATION by ACCEPTING His GIFT by FAITH.

THE BLOOD

THE BLOOD SPEAKS of LIFE, Forgiveness, Redemption, HIS Righteousness. It ANSWERS all the accusations of the evil one !!!


In Lev 17:11 it is written:
“For the LIFE of the flesh is in the blood, and I (God) have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls.”

THE ALTAR – THE CROSS


• IN the O.T., the Blood of sacrifice – slaughtered, had to be sprinkled on the ALTAR…
• If there was no blood shed – there was no atonement.
• On the Via de la Rosa – the way to the Cross, and on the Cross itself, Christ’s Blood was TOSSED, SPRINKLED, SCATTERED and DISPERSED all over….
• It was done as God prescribed it… even in this extreme, harshest way.
• God knew how DESTRUCTIVE the sins of this world would become.
• God knew how much DEVASTATION our sins will cause to our lives…
• Therefore the punishment was so severe… the ULTIMATE PRICE had to be paid FOR us.

AS YOU PARTAKE of COMMUNION

AS you COME… I want to ENCOURAGE you to…
• ALLOW Him to touch, cleanse, heal you, set you free & bring you PEACE.
• ASK God to wash you with His Blood: “GOD WASH me WHOLE with Your Blood”

Something needs to happen here … and so every time and when-ever we draw near to GOD…
Christ said “IT is FINISHED” ; THIS IS IT… this is all you need!

COMMUNION – GOD’S LOVE FOR YOU DISPLAYED

The COMMUNION Table is the heightened symbol or display of God’s LOVE.
• This is the EPITOME of WHO GOD IS and WHAT CHRIST did TO establish us into the NEW COVENANT with the Father.
• A COVENANT of an ETERNAL RELATIONSHIP with the ONLY TUE God that is real in your life RIGHT NOW, TODAY.

• CHRIST is standing here… with His arms open wide:
“My Child…The Father LOVES you… the SON… and the Holy Spirit LOVES you.”

CONCLUSION on my contemplation at The Communion Table

As you leave here today… receive and take hold of His Blood that speaks life to you & KNOW that Christ’s BLOOD WILL help you to overcome!

36. BEING SET APART FOR JOY

SET APART FOR JOY – His joy is found in Truth

When thinking about being set apart for Joy that is found in God’s truth – in His reality, we need to ask ourselves some questions to get to a clear and transparent answer.

Are we perhaps sometimes finding ourselves in an unhappy state… because we (sometimes) live in untruth, not being completely honest with ourselves or others?

IN different situations, good or bad, what do we tell ourselves? Do we say it as God says it in His Word and as He sees it by His almighty power of possibility? Or do we keep on repeating the negative… the UNTRUTH according to our fleshly observation? Do we see and speak from the temporary realm on what our REALITY dictates and not what we SEE and know to discern in the spirit?

Do we measure things according to the truth or according to what we want to believe or want it to be…..Are we sometimes forced by our unbelief to speak along with our enemy?

Do we speak His truth into situations or tag along with the lie of the enemy ? Do we bring our flesh into subjection to the spirit or does the flesh dictates?

Do we live as being set apart or being subject to?

Flesh needs to come to the end of its temporal ability in order to start functioning by the ability of the all powerful Holy Spirit.

We have been SAVED, REDEEMED and SET APART by God for Himself to live for the Praise of His Name for an hour like this in the JOY of His Glory.

SET APART for Joy – for God

Rev 22:21  The grace (blessing and favor) of the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) be with all the saints (God’s holy people, those set apart for God, to be, as it were, exclusively His). Amen (so let it be)!

2Ti 2:21  So whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences], will be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work.

Heb 3:1  SO THEN, brethren, consecrated and set apart for God, who share in the heavenly calling, [thoughtfully and attentively] consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest Whom we confessed [as ours when we embraced the Christian faith].

1Th 4:3  For this is the will of God, that you should be consecrated (separated and set apart for pure and holy living): that you should abstain and shrink from all sexual vice,

Eph 1:4  Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.

Zep 1:7  [Hush!] Be silent before the Lord God, for the day [of the vengeance] of the Lord is near; for the Lord has prepared a sacrifice, and He has set apart [for His use] those who have accepted His invitation. [Hab. 2:20.]

Psa 4:3  But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself [and given distinction to] him who is godly [the man of loving-kindness]. The Lord listens and heeds when I call to Him.

HE HAS CHOSEN US – a HOUSE of SACRIFICE to be HOLY – For His NAME

2Ch 7:12-17

12  And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said to him: I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.

13  If I shut up heaven so no rain falls, or if I command locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people. 14  If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

15  Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer offered in this place.

16  For I have chosen and sanctified (set apart for holy use) this house, that My Name may be here forever, and My eyes and My heart will be here perpetually.

SET APART as HIS COVENANT PEOPLE – To Live in AWE

Deu 10:12-21  

12  And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you but [reverently] to fear the Lord your God, [that is] to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with your entire being,

16  So circumcise the foreskin of your [minds and] hearts; be no longer stubborn and hardened.

20  You shall [reverently] fear the Lord your God; you shall serve Him and cling to Him, and by His name and presence you shall swear.

21  He is your praise; He is your God, Who has done for you these great and terrible things which your eyes have seen.

SET APART FOR JOY – requires a BATTLE CRY

Psa 27:6  And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy ( A BATTLE CRY ) in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD

Psa 21:1   THE KING [David] shall joy in Your strength, O Lord; and in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

Psa 21:6  For You make him to be blessed and a blessing forever; You make him exceedingly glad with the joy of Your presence.

1Ch 16:27  Honor and majesty are [found] in His presence; strength and joy are [found] in His sanctuary.  – in your inner self

Neh 8:10  Then [Ezra] told them, Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold

SET APART FOR JOY – REQUIERES FAITH – trusting him regardless

Hab 3:17-19

17  Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls,

18  Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation!

19  The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!

Jer 33:9  And [Jerusalem] shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth that hear of all the good I do for it, and they shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace, prosperity, security, and stability I provide for it.

Psa 5:11  But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits.

SET APART FOR JOY – BECAUSE OF HIS FAITHFULNESS

Psa 16:11  You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Mal 4:2  But unto you who revere and worshipfully fear My name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings and His beams, and you shall go forth and gambol like calves [released] from the stall and leap for joy.

Joh 16:24  Up to this time you have not asked a [single] thing in My Name [as presenting all that I AM]. But now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight) may be full and complete.

Joh 17:13  And now I am coming to You. I say these things while I am still in the world, so that My joy may be made full and complete and perfect in them. [That they may experience My delight fulfilled in them. That My enjoyment may be perfected in their own souls, that they may have My gladness within them, filling their hearts].

Rom 15:13  May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.

Rev 19:7  Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself. [Ps. 118:24.]

Jud 1:24  Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight]–

STAND IN HIS JOY AND TRUTH

3Jn 1:4  I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my [spiritual] children are living their lives in the Truth.

1Pe 4:12-14

12  Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality, as though something strange were befalling you.

  • ‘Strange‘ : unusual and alien to you and your position

13  But insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, so that when His glory [full of radiance and splendor] is revealed, you may also rejoice with triumph [exultantly].

14  If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

1Pe 5:6-11

6  Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

7  casting all your care (DISTRACTION, DISUNITY, DIFFER) upon Him, for He cares for you.

8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (TO DRINK DOWN, GULP ENTIRELY, DROWN, SWALLOW)

9  Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

  • ‘Resist ‘: STAND AGAINST, OPPOSE, WITHSTAND

RESIST is also TO STAND which also means to ABIDE, APPOINT, BRING ABOUT, CONTINUE. To stand in the authority by COVENANT, to ESTABLISH, to HOLD UP, to LAY. To PRESENT, SET (UP), STANCH, STAND (BY, FORTH, STILL, UP).

10  But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

11  To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

35. BEING SET APART / CONSECRATED / SANCTIFIED

We are being set apart, consecrated and sanctified:-

1. Firstly by HIS EXTREME LOVE for US

IN this blog we are doing a brief study from scripture on the principles of being set apart, consecrated and sanctified. If we look at PALAH, the Hebrew word for being “set apart” the following descriptions are linked to this word. PALAH stands for ‘to be distinguished’, ‘to be shown to be marvelous’, ‘to be separated’, ‘severed’ and ‘to be made wonderfully‘.

Luk 15:7

(7)  I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

Luk 15:21-24

(21)  And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

(22)  “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe(anointing) and put it on him, and put a ring(covenant) on his hand and sandals(calling) on his feet.

(23)  And bring the fatted calf(abundant provision) here and kill it (by Christ’s sacrifice), and let us eat and be merry(joy of the Lord-our strength);

(24)  for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost(destroyed, perish, marred, die) and is found(find, get, obtain, perceive, see).’ And they began to be merry.

2Ch 16:9 

For the eyes of the LORD run to and for throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal(full, just, made ready, peaceable, perfect, quiet, whole, complete) to Him.

2. WE ARE SET APART TO FULFILL GOD’S PURPOSES AND PLAN; TO UNITE IN HIS PURPOSE

Psa 4:3  But know that the LORD has set apart (PALAH; to distinguish, show to be marvelous, separate, sever, make wonderfully) for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him.

Exo 28:3  So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments, to consecrate (KAWDASH; to be/pronounced/observed to be clean, purify, sanctify, keep holy, proclaim) him, that he may minister to Me as priest.

Jer 29:11-14

(11)  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of PEACE (well, safe, happy, friendly, favor, prosperity, safe at mind, full, wholly, welfare, rest, health, perfect, salute) and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

(12)  Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

(13)  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

(14)  I will be found by you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.

Php 1:6  being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; 

Php 1:10-11

(10)  that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,

(11)  being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

3. WE ARE SET APART TO MINISTER UNTO THE LORD

WE come to the Lord to offer a sacrifice on the altar by fire. The offering we bring to the altar is ourselves. We are called by the Lord to bring ourselves as a living sacrifice. This means that we lay down our lives and this presents a sweet smell to the Lord. As the bread is pleasing to our pallets, just the same is our consecration a sweet smell to our Father.

Exo 28:41  So you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him. You shall anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister to Me as priests.

Lev 20:7  Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the LORD your God.

Lev 21:6  They shall be holy to their God and not profane the name of their God, for they offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread of their God; therefore they shall be holy. 

Lev 21:8  Therefore you shall consecrate him, for he offers the bread of your God. He shall be holy to you, for I the LORD, who sanctify you, am holy.

John Gill: “and the bread of their God do they offer; the shew-bread, which they set every week before the Lord on the shew-bread table, …, the “minchah”, which they continually offered along with the sacrifices: or the word “and”, being a supplement, may be left out; and so this clause is put by way of apposition, and as interpreting the fire offering to be the bread of their God, which being wholly burnt on the altar, and devoted to God, was his meat and food, and accepted by him, see Lev 3:11,” FOOD:(battle, overcome, make war, prevail)

Therefore they shall be holy; separate from all others, and abstain from all impurity both of flesh and spirit, from all uncleanness, moral and ceremonial; it being highly fit and proper that the bread of God should be offered by holy persons.

But God would not permit the blood, that made atonement, to be used as a common thing (Heb 10:29), nor will he allow us, though we have the comfort of the atonement made, to assume to ourselves any share in the honor of making it. He that glories, let him glory in the Lord, and to his praise let all the blood be poured out.

John Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible

Lev 3:16 the priest shall burn them on the altar as food, offered by fire, for a sweet and satisfying fragrance. All the fat is the Lord’s.

1Ch 15:12  He said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brethren, that you may bring up the ark ( presence) of the LORD God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it.

4. WE ARE SET APART TO PURIFY AND CONSECRATE ONE SELF

IN YOUR WOUNDEDNESS and AFFLICTION / SICKNESS & DISEASE

– An example of being set apart, consecration and sanctification is when A BABY BOY is being circumcised on the eight day

– A LADY AFTER CHILDBIRTH and IMPURITY has to sanctify herself

Exo 13:2  “Consecrate to Me all the firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and beast; it is Mine.”

Exo 19:10  Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.

Jos 7:13  Get up, sanctify the people, and say, ‘Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, because thus says the LORD God of Israel: “There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you.

5. WE ARE SET APART AND CONSECRATED FOR WAR AND AT SPECIAL OCCASIONS

Jdg 7:5  So he brought the people down to the water. And the LORD said to Gideon, “Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself; likewise everyone who gets down on his knees to drink.

Joe 2:13-17 

13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. 

14  Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him—A grain offering and a drink offering For the LORD your God? 

15  Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; 

16  Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room.

6. GOD SANCTIFIES HIS OWN NAME and SETS US APART FOR HIS NAMES’ SAKE

22  “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. 

23  And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD,” says the Lord GOD, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. 

24  For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. 

25  Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 

26  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 

27  I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. 

7. JESUS’S PRAYER TO THE FATHER TO SANCTIFY US – FOR US TO BE ABLE TO MINISTER & LIVE BY HIM; WHO IS THE TRUTH

Joh 17:17-19

(17)  Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

(18)  As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

(19)  And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

Heb 10:29 Welcomed into His presence by the Blood

(29)  Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

8. WE ARE ENCOURAGED TO START FULFILLING OUR LIFE’S PURPOSE BY LOVING GOD FIRST & OURSELVES IN ORDER THAT WE CAN LOVE OTHERS

Mat 22:37-40

(37)  Jesus said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’

(38)  This is the first and great commandment.

(39)  And the second is like it: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’

(40)  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

9. WE ARE SET APART IN OUR OWN ‘DYING TO SELF’; TO RISE UP THROUGH REBIRTH IN FAITH UNTO LIFE

1Th 5:23  Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heb 13:12-14

(12)  Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

(13)  Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.

(14)  For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come.

10. WE ARE SET APART IN OUR DAILY MISSION

GO AND DO WHAT GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO DO TODAY. ONLY YOU CAN PERFORM THAT TASK

HEBREWS 13:15-16

(15)  Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

(16)  But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

:20-21

(20)  Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

(21)  make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

(19)  Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,

(20)  by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, (21)  and having a High Priest over the house of God,

(22)  let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

IF LOVE covers a multitude of sins and …. and GOD IS LOVE – which HE IS!!!

If His MERCIES are NEW every morning… enabling us then to receive our Healing, Wisdom, Strength, Hope, Faith, Grace…. for each New Day afresh…

If the WORD is the TRUTH and ALIVE IN US…

If THANKSGIVING is the KEY to ENTER the Gates of His kingdom…

Luk 8:43-48
(43) And a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years and had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed by anyone,

Christ knows when you draw near & trust Him; when you make Him your ONLY HELP to do something for you

2. WHY DO YOU LOOK FOR THE LIVING AMONG DEAD?

Luk 24:1-7
(1) BUT ON the first day of the week, at early dawn, [the women] went to the tomb, taking the spices which they had made ready.
(2) And they found the stone rolled back from the tomb,
(3) But when they went inside, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
(4) And while they were perplexed and wondering what to do about this, behold, two men in dazzling raiment suddenly stood beside them.
(5) And as [the women] were frightened and were bowing their faces to the ground, the men said to them,
Why do you look for the living among [those who are] dead?

(6) He is not here, but has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee
(7) That the Son of Man must be given over into the hands of sinful men (men whose way or nature is to act in opposition to God) and be crucified and on the third day rise [from death]. [Psa_16:10]

JESUS IS ASKING….

Why do we look for HIM among things that are worthless, stresssing about the things mortal and callous – (without the heart of God) – try to fill your lives with frivolity (superficial) & feeble things…

Why do you labour so hard at things of the spirit that is not spirit led…???

Why do you look for Christ – to experience Christ – amongst the things, programs, entertainment, pleasure, religious activities, things naturally discerned and seen or that is of the world…???

PRAYER TIME :

SHOW US LORD the things that we are wasting our time, energy, resources, talents, that is steering us away from your REAL PURPOSE for our lives

Rev 12:11 And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].
