The Lordship of Christ (3). He Comes First
Our quest here on earth suddenly becomes easier as we place the focus on Him! When He comes First
When we focus on what HE wants to achieve and when focusing on what & where God is busy working, we realize that He has ‘weaponized’ & empowered us through His all-surpassing love-power; to love, care & share Him with this lost & broken world.
Suddenly this heavy load that we felt we had to carry becomes a joy & His Word truly becomes a light to our own paths as we come to realize – BUT the onus is on Him!
For He is the Lord of all of this that we are busy with; for Him. It is His name that is at stake! That He will make sure it to be glorified. The one Who’s name will be amplified & lifted up is His! And the pressure is off from us to do ANYTHING in our own strength.
Our mission is to surrender to the Lordship of Christ and have our spirit-eyes opened up to see His strategic ways for all things to flow into convergence for the honour of His glory – as He is first & foremost the conductor of this comprehensive event.
If we look at our own significance, importance, – even in our striving to do things for God in an excellent fashion, the attention often falls on us & our ability, and that warns us out. In our own strength & by following our own ways cannot endure very long.
In our realignment under the Lordship of Christ our eyes are set to follow & heed to His every move. The stress disappear for we cannot move without Him moving first.
Scriptures for Devotion:
Psa 119:1-2
(1) BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, to be envied) are the undefiled (the upright, truly sincere, and blameless) in the way [of the revealed will of God], who walk (order their conduct and conversation) in the law of the Lord (the whole of God’s revealed will).
(2) Blessed are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek, inquire for and of Him and crave Him with the whole heart.
Psa 119:28
My life dissolves and weeps itself away for heaviness; raise me up and strengthen me according to [the promises of] Your word.
Pro 3:5-6
(5) Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
(6) In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
Prayer:
Thank You Lord! Thank You, that You are God & we your servants who may follow you blindly. Knowing that if You are leading, we will enter the promises of Your Covenant-Word to us. As You are placed first, all other things will fall in place.
You are the Lord, our God and the One Who captures all our love & attention.
We love You Lord. You are the Lord of our lives.
Amen
