95. Devotion 14 – HE is Above All to be Worshipped

DEVOTION 14. Sunday – The Lordship of Christ (7.1) – He is Above All Others

The Lordship of Christ (7.1) – Above All Others

Eph 3:10-11

(10) to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,
(11) according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,

The Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ is far beyond any other.

But even more so; it is demonstrated on a cosmic, celestial & ethereal scale and platform for all of creation to become aware of who He is, what He is about & how He deals with those who do not bow to His Lordship & accept the free gift so graciously offered to all things created.

Philippians 2:9-11 – “Christ is Lord – to the glory of the Father”

(9) Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
(10) that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
(11) and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Even Satan is well aware of what the Lordship of Christ is. He is even still bound to worship Him, and Him alone.

Luke 4:8

The Lordship of Christ (7.2) The Lordship of Christ demands worship for He is Who He is.

He is God and there is no other. He is the all-superior Creator of everything ever created. The mercy He gave & granted mankind deserves all that worship entails unto Him alone.
Given then this merciful act granted to us – (who should have died for our own sins), there should surely then come the humble gesture of what I can & should give back for such an all-surpassing act of grandeur.

It is therefore just fitting to give worship, adoration, thanksgiving & praise back to Him. To honour & exalt Him in His position & honour due to His entitlement as Lord of all of creation.

Rev 5:12-14

(12) saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
(13) And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”
(14) Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.

Prayer:

Lord,

words are utterly inadequate to express our love & gratitude. But with our hearts we surrender all we are in body, soul & spirit to bring You our utmost praise, honour & adoration.
To You alone our hearts desire to sing & declare praise to the honour of Your Name.
Amen

94. Devotion 13. Through the miracle of Salvation

DEVOTION 13. Saturday – The Lordship of Christ (6) – Through the miracle of Salvation

The Lordship of Christ is demonstrated through the gift of Salvation made available to all nations, tribes & tongues.

Christ made redemption available to all

    Joh 1:12-13

    (12)  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: (13)  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Will it be obtained by all? No

    Act 8:20-22

    (20)  But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!

    (21)  You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God. (22)  Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

    Joh 3:27

    (27)  John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

    Joh 6:44

    (44)  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

    Joh 3:5, 36

    (5)  Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. (36)  He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

    Rom 8:30

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

The Trinity God, all Three Persons are involved in Redeeming us back to the heart of the Father.

How do we enter the Kingdom?

    Rom 5:9

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

    1Co 6:11

And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

    Prayer:

Lord, in allowing ourselves to reset our foundational stance we are left stunned to think of such immense grace that I can be called ‘child’ of the Most High God. That You have called & drawn me back to You.

A moment of utter humility grant us now to bend our knees & thank you from our hearts that we have received the gift of salvation & may trust fully in Your Holy Spirit to prepare us to enter Your kingdom.

Oh, How we love You, Lord of all!

    Amen

    93. Devotion 12. God’s Law of Love Upon Our Hearts

The Lordship Of Christ (5). As We Receive His Law Of Love Upon Our Hearts

HIS LAW of LOVE RECEIVED THROUGH FAITH

WE OUGHT to understand here that the law has now been written on our hearts through this new covenant relationship that we have with God. We receive it BY FAITH, through Christ’s blood being shed for our atonement into this eternal relationship with God for our redemption.

The law is His love letter to us; now fulfilled by grace and not works of the law.

    Jer 31:33

But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: After those days, says the Lord, I will put My law within them, and on their hearts will I write it; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.

THEREFORE, Christ dwells in our hearts by faith – through the written word on our hearts. The written Word, Christ Himself, dwells in us through Himself living in us. This is all possible through His Holy Spirit’s indwelling in our spirit man.

WE HAVE now understanding of His love, His ways & His being (character, power & presence) as we exercise continually our faith upon Him.

BY FAITH we have received Him into our lives. By faith we concede Him to capture our hearts, soul, mind & spirit being. By faith we submit to His LORDSHIP. Through the experience of His love,- allowing Him & trusting Him to love on us. Our lives are now being changed – from glory to glory.

AND… this testifies of His love – having the experience OF His love. His divine presence flooding us with God Himself enabling us to become rooted, in soul & spirit… grounded IN LOVE!

THIS TESTIFIES of His Lordship over us – He becomes our Lord as we allow His Holy Spirit to fill us with the Living Word, to engrave it on our hearts as He reveals the Truth of our Lord & Saviour by His divine expositions deep within our spirit. Not by power or by might BUT by His Spirit we come to know Him, to make Him truly Lord – Adonai in our lives.

HEREBY then to receive His Love & embrace His Lordship in our lives is to experience and to come to know Him as Lord.
NOT Him wanting ‘to lord’ over us, but to flood us with the love & presence of Himself. Without the Spirit within we cannot know Him. Without the Helper we cannot live.

    1Co 2:12-14 (Rom 8)

    (12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
    (14) But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

    Prayer:

Thank you Lord, For giving us Your Holy Spirit through Whom all power & revelation comes. By Faith we receive afresh Your Law of Love upon our hearts & You as Lord – Adonai, my Lord into my life.
    Amen

    92. Devotion 11. Through Receiving His Love

The Lordship Of Christ (4) Through Receiving His Love

CHRIST demonstrates His love in many ways to His creation. Him being the totality of all that love means, shows His Lordship through how He loves, care, guides…

THEREFORE, the way He loves also positioned Him in power to conquer & reign over all things.

If we look at the following two Scriptures, we can see how powerful the forgiving love of Christ really is, that we also have to walk in.

Pro 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.
Pro 17:9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends.

WE also see that the LOVE of Christ is so powerful that it came to overhaul all the restrictions of the law. This love that moved Him to give His life for us & become our Lord.
THE Lordship of Christ over us came at a tremendous cost. We should therefore consider His love daily in prayer for authenticity to receive it afresh – in an authentic way & NEVER allow it to become a familiarity.

THE power behind His love is that which saves a whole world! His love is powerful. It should be treated with respect and NOT be taken for granted or become a familiar word on our tongues. WE should purposefully receive His love continuously & into every situation & area in our lives.

    PRAYER:

OUR prayer tonight, for ourselves & others flow then from the following:

    Eph 3:17-18

    (17) May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love,
    (18) That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]

    THANK You, Lord Jesus,

That Your love is meant to change our lives continuously so that we may reap from the supernatural power of it & be filled to be able to pour it onto others.
WE receive Your love now into every area & the deepest fibre of our being for healing, for strength, for wisdom & glory.

    Amen & amen!

    91. Devotion 10 – He Comes First

The Lordship of Christ (3). He Comes First

When we focus on what HE wants to achieve and when focusing on what & where God is busy working, we realize that He has ‘weaponized’ & empowered us through His all-surpassing love-power; to love, care & share Him with this lost & broken world.

Suddenly this heavy load that we felt we had to carry becomes a joy & His Word truly becomes a light to our own paths as we come to realize – BUT the onus is on Him!
For He is the Lord of all of this that we are busy with; for Him. It is His name that is at stake! That He will make sure it to be glorified. The one Who’s name will be amplified & lifted up is His! And the pressure is off from us to do ANYTHING in our own strength.

Our mission is to surrender to the Lordship of Christ and have our spirit-eyes opened up to see His strategic ways for all things to flow into convergence for the honour of His glory – as He is first & foremost the conductor of this comprehensive event.

If we look at our own significance, importance, – even in our striving to do things for God in an excellent fashion, the attention often falls on us & our ability, and that warns us out. In our own strength & by following our own ways cannot endure very long.

In our realignment under the Lordship of Christ our eyes are set to follow & heed to His every move. The stress disappear for we cannot move without Him moving first.

    Scriptures for Devotion:

    Psa 119:1-2

    (1) BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, to be envied) are the undefiled (the upright, truly sincere, and blameless) in the way [of the revealed will of God], who walk (order their conduct and conversation) in the law of the Lord (the whole of God’s revealed will).
    (2) Blessed are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek, inquire for and of Him and crave Him with the whole heart.

    Psa 119:28

My life dissolves and weeps itself away for heaviness; raise me up and strengthen me according to [the promises of] Your word.

    Pro 3:5-6

    (5) Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
    (6) In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

    Prayer:

Thank You Lord! Thank You, that You are God & we your servants who may follow you blindly. Knowing that if You are leading, we will enter the promises of Your Covenant-Word to us. As You are placed first, all other things will fall in place.
You are the Lord, our God and the One Who captures all our love & attention.
We love You Lord. You are the Lord of our lives.

    Amen

    90. Devotion 9 – The Lordship of Christ. (2)

The Lordship of Christ (2) – Jesus Christ ; HE gave us His all

    Psa 103:19
The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.

Through His journey of becoming man, equal to the very beings He created, living among them, bearing their scorn, arrogance, rebellion & dissention and then in embracing the real understanding of their humanity & lives on earth – He has set the stage for His Lordship & kingdom to be manifested on earth as it is in heaven! The Lordship of Christ is eternally set.

Further through His sacrificial death, resurrection & ascension and fulfilling the Promise of the Helper – He gave us His all in all! He fulfilled the heart’s desire of the Father!

He provided all that is needed for this covenant with God’s chosen people to be completely fulfilled in time. He appropriated all things to align & flow into the sovereign completion of His reign.

Therefore, the main focus point that we can receive through this message is that Christ wants ‘to Be’ & have His being on earth through man. That is the reason He made us – to rule in all His sovereignty through us on earth.

You & I are one of those human beings that He would delight to express His Lordship through in His kingdom, His kingdom reign, His power, His faithfulness, His wholeness in & for humankind in the midst of chaos, anarchy & turmoil in this life.

Especially in these days where we at times do sense that the wheels could easily come off. Yet we as believers in Christ know & we can say in all humility & dependency upon Him:

“But for the grace of God, there I go…! But for the Lordship of Christ over my life, there I go!

Therefore, we know our lives really matter to Him. He has demonstrated & communicated it in so many ways that we are to receive from Him all things pertaining to this live, embrace His power, love and Spirit-presence.

We are then set to live through this package of the fulness of Who He is to fulfil His mission & bring glory to His name. We are set to live under His Lordship for indeed he DOES REIGN over ALL things!

    2Pe 1:2-3

    (2) Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,(3) as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue

    Prayer:

    Lord Jesus,
We have come to realize that you are sincerely acquainted with all our dispositions. We therefore step into that place of leaning over & aligning ourselves to Your lead & Lordship in our lives.

Helps us to purposefully re-focus on Your all-powerful abilities, know how, supreme wisdom & eternally purposed plan which will bring all things together in cohesion as we then follow after You through Your life-giving presence within us.

We love You Lord with every fiber of our being and we thank You that Your Lordship also means that we can follow You as You lead and not as we have planned it!
    Amen

    89. Devotion 8 – The Lordship of Christ

The Lordship Of Christ no 1

The Lordship of Christ is also discovered as we come… “to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

    Eph 3:19

[That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

We have no right on ourselves. We belong to Christ. Let this sink in.

We have to allow Him to move us unto living through Him, daily. Him, having His being through us. On earth as it is in heaven – in us & through us. Having the fulness of who He is – flooding though our whole existence… our whole being.

Therefore, our emotions, walk & talk, our regular conduct… our mindset in the daily situations in life should actually display this unequivocally because of this wonder & awe of Him in us. Without a doubt. To be a testimony of our witness & testimony of Christ that lives within us.

Through life we experience our ebb & flow in life’s different & various situations. We even experience that in our faith-life. We have these moments of victory, faith & hope just to be down casted in our soul dimension when the frustration of not being able to break through in our faith-walk, or in life’s physical realm stares us in the face.

In these real moments in life, we tend to look within and revisit our own limitations, shortcomings, weakness and even go back to that sunken feeling of our failures old & recent ones…

We ought to take the focus & attention off from ourselves on the horizontal focal points that we are bound to; not able to breakthrough those thought patterned visuals in our minds.

As He steps into the scene… There is an immediate BIG “IF” before us. IF we do allow His presence to become the main attention. For He is indeed always with us, always present everywhere & eternally the presence in everything.

Instead of positioning ourselves as main character, we now turn and focus on Christ in the scene. Him asking us to allow Him ‘TO BE’!

If we embroider further on this thought… we can say that Christ wants us to allow (to will, desire, want, to understand it to be of utmost need), Him ‘to be’ who He wants (desires, all knowingly will to be) , through our lives.

Allowing Him to be God in our lives. He nudges us to thoughtfully ‘give over’. This meaning for us to really trust Him, have faith in Him that He can be God through & in our lives.

    Prayer:

    Father God,

it is our deepest desire & quest to surrender ourselves to You in such a way that allows the manifested presence in the fulness of Who You intended to reveal Yourself in this world. That this will have an effect in the physical realm where we move & have our being through our lives & through Your kingdom here on earth..

Thank You, Lord, that we may pursue to know You more – the great I am, the Lord of all of creation!

Thank you, Lord, that this can become our faith reality through knowing Your love, the love that You have for each and every thing created. It is so immeasurable. It surpasses all understanding.

Help us to know & belief that Your love for us is flawless, pure, constant, eternal and of a divine caliber.

Your love is supreme and the rule and standard to all that love is.

    Amen

    15. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us…
Of the new & gracious covenant now written upon our hearts and sealed by the blood.

    (10) The BLOOD has OVERCOMING power. (Rev12:11)

    Rev 12:11

    (11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

B> THE HOLY SPIRIT AS GUARANTEE OF OUR ETERNAL INHERITANCE IN CHRIST

The Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our eternal inheritance through the righteousness of Christ that we received by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit unto us.

Surely this is the part of the Kingdom of God that we supernaturally receive as we receive Christ into our hearts.
He did not leave us without His presence. He deposited His Spirit within.
He gave gifts of Himself for us to execute His kingdom’s mighty plans.

He gave us Christ’s FIVEFOLD GIFTS, wanting to present and equip us through the FULNESS of Christ. If we leave any of these ATTRIBUTES of GOD – of His Christ – out of the faith experience we are giving the church & the world out there “half a Christ”
The Spirit is the promise of the Father fulfilled.

SCRIPTURES on the HOLY SPIRIT AS GUARANTEE

    2Co 1:20-22

    (20) For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
    (21) Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God,
    (22) who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

    2Co 5:5-7

    (5) Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. (7) For we walk by faith, not by sight.

    Luk 24:49

    (49) Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” (Act 1:4-5)

    Act 1:4-5

    (4) And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;
    (5) for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

    Act 2:32-33

    (32) This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
    (33) Therefore, being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

    Eph 1:13-14

    (13) In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
    (14) who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Epaggelia – Guarantee (Thayer’s Greek Lexicon)

    1) announcement
    2) promise
2a) the act of promising, a promise given or to be given
2b) a promised good or blessing

    Rev 12:10

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

This complete narrative is typified by the Passover, as we are granted to go from death to life in His deliverance from eternal damnation through the perfect sacrificial offering of God’s Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth & the sending of His Spirit as our Helper until the Promise of the Father reveals the living Christ here & now at His second coming.

    PRAYER

    Father,

Words fail us to thank & love you enough! How we love You! How we worship & adore You with everything within us. For truly there is nothing more that You we desire, but You.

Our cup runneth over. You have anointed us with Your oil of gladness. Our hearts overflow with a good theme, reciting a love song concerning our King. We will make known Your name to be remembered by all generations. The people will praise You forever & ever.

    (Ps 45 – See below)

“For Yours is the Kingdom, The Power & the Glory, For EVER & EVER.
    AMEN & AMEN !!!”

    Thank you family of God!

What a great privilege to love & serve our God together in a time like this; in this very late hour.

    Praying a blessing over you:

    Rom 15:13

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

    (22) in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—

    Eph 2:13-14

    (13) But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
    (14) For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,

    Heb 4:14-16

    (14) Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
    (15) For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
    (16) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

    Heb 10:19-24

    (19) Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,
    (20) by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,
    (21) and having a High Priest over the house of God,
    (22) let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
    (23) Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
    (24) And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,

    Psa 45:1-8

    (2) You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever.

    (3) Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty.
    (4) And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things.
    (5) Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies; The peoples fall under You.
    (6) Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

    (7) You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.
    (8) All Your garments are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia, Out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad.

    Heb 12:28

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

It pertains to His Christ, coming again to seal the reward of those found in Him.

He made us kings & priests to HIs God. To Him be the glory

It is a kingdom where some will SEE the Kingdom of God, some will ENTER it, and some will INHERIT the kingdom of God – the new Jerusalem.

    Joh 3:3

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot SEE the kingdom of God.”

    Mat 7:21

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall ENTER the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

    Luk 18:17

Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means ENTER it.”

    Mar 10:24

“Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to ENTER the kingdom of God!

    Joh 3:5

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot ENTER the kingdom of God.

    Act 14:22

strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations ENTER the kingdom of God.”

    Mat 25:34

Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

    1Co 6:9-10

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not INHERIT the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will INHERIT the kingdom of God.

    1Co 15:50

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot INHERIT the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

    PRAYER

    Father,

in this time we come to you in all humility, brokenness in spirit, with contrite hearts and clean hands because of the Blood of the Lamb of God, washing us. We pray that we will be led by Your Spirit to obey unto inheritance of the covenant promises of Your kingdom. By grace we are born of the water & Spirit.

We come tonight to be reminded of Your complete work on the cross & the power of redemption to be shared with this broken world. May we never falter to lift You up, confess You boldly & not shun away where we are rejected or ridiculed for Your name’s sake.

    Amen & amen.

    “By Grace there we go”

    86. Devotion – The Righteousness of Christ

Hallelujah Devotional Nr 5 – Focusing on the Attributes of God

The Kingdom of God is ruled & founded on Christ’s righteousness attained by faith in Him.

    Heb 1:8 But to the Son He says: “YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER;
A SCEPTER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTER OF YOUR KINGDOM.

“What you believe about righteousness will affect your heart more than any other thing you believe!” (Richards, 1993)

The most dangerous thing is the truth we believe that’s bended to suit our own preferences.

God is a God of righteousness.

To understand righteousness, we can look at understanding light. As light is bended, it changes, and the different colors are revealed.

That is what often happens with the Word of God. As it comes into our own hearts as pure light, “A Lamp unto my feet”, – a heart contaminated with prejudice, tradition, hurt or deceit can turn that very truth into something completely different.
In this world we are also subject to so many lies, half-truths & deception – for us then to be extra vigilant to guard our hearts.

    Rom 1:16-17

    (16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes…
    (17) For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”

    Rom 1:18-23

    (18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
    (19) because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. (20) For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

    (21) because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
    (22) Professing to be wise, they became fools,
    (23) and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

FAITH in the Gospel is the Power of God Unleashed in Our Lives

The power of God works through the gospel of Christ.
Therefore, if I believe the gospel correctly, the power of God should be evident in my life. “If the power if God is not evident in my life, I must examine my version of the gospel.” (Richards, 1993)

    1Co 1:30

    (30) But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—

    WE MUST JUST BELIEVE

The gospel that we believe reveals the righteousness of Christ in our lives, from faith to faith – not faith to work harder on your own righteousness.
    Christ obtained righteousness by faith.

If faith is not founded in Christ’s righteousness – the Good News Gospel is possibly thwarted in our believe-doctrine, and still subject to law & works unto faith.

Christ is our righteousness unto salvation.
Start trusting in your righteousness in Christ alone.
No works or abiding to laws & customs can attain that. The law was only the safety net unto salvation. My own righteousness is fatal, for it cancels grace. (Gal2:21)

[Extracts from GRACE -The power to Change. J. Richards. Paraphrased/quoted]

    Gal 2:20-21

    (20) I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God , who loved me and gave Himself for me.
    (21) I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

    Php 3:9

    (9) and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

    PRAYER:

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of our Holy Father – How we love You & thank You for salvation, redemption & sanctification through You righteousness as we come to believe – faith to faith – in Your Good news gospel.

Thank You, that we can surrender completely unto YOUR righteousness, not having to pursue any in our own. You are our sole Mediator unto eternal redemption and the power of the Gospel in & through us.

Hallelujah. 1000 praises to You alone!

    Amen & amen.

    84. Devotional – Y-hw-h Y-r-h – The Lord will Provide

MAY29 Thu 2025 Hallelujah Devotional 3 – Focusing on the Attributes of God

TODAY we celebrate the ASCENSION of our Lord Jesus Christ. His ascension provided for us the assurance of a High Priest at the right hand of the Father Who intercedes for us constantly & the evidence of a Helper that is with us to help us in every area of life.

    Luk 24:49-53

    (49) Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”
    (50) And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them.
    (51) Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven.
    (52) And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
    (53) and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen.

YAHWEH-JIREH – THE LORD WILL PROVIDE BY HIS SPIRIT

“GIVE us this day our daily bread” – for our daily spiritual & physical needs.

    Mat 6:6-8
    (8) For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

    PRAYER:

FATHER, You know what we need to sustain our body & soul’s for this day.
We receive our healing for today from You right now.
We receive the provision, the protection, the favour, the wisdom & blessing that You bestow upon us for this day.
Tomorrow we will come again and receive from Your hand & goodness enough for each new day.

THANK You, Lord. Your mercies are new every morning. Not one day You have failed us.

    Jos 23:14

“Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.

    PRAYER:

FORGIVE us that we seek assurance of Your faithfulness in the figure in our bank account or the report from human sources instead of believing that You will never fail us.
According to Your promises, Your plans, Your purposes & Your complete & perfect will, You have already instructed our pathways & destiny as we follow You.

    Psa 16:5-9

    (5) O LORD, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.
    (6) The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance.
    (7) I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
    (8) I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
    (9) Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.

THANK YOU, Lord for the gift of repentance and the forgiveness of sins. That You forgive us, as we forgive others.

    Luk 24:46-47

    (46) Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
    (47) and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

    PRAYER:

FATHER, we confess tonight that according to Your word a lack of forgiveness, unbelief & repentance blocks access to the kingdom & its marvelous power.

    (Matt. 6:5-15; Mark 11:22-26)
We come to cleanse our hearts of all fear, bitterness, doubt & unbelieve.

    In Jesus name we pray

    Amen
    Grace 2 you

    83. Devotional – God as Creator & King

Hallelujah Devotional nr2 – Focusing on the Attributes of God

His kingdom is not of this world (Jh 18:36). It is an everlasting kingdom (2Pet1:11) and a kingdom residing in the hearts of His creation (Luk17:21)

Satan also attempts to live & take hold of the souls of a man. But man does not belong to him, for they are not His idea or has not been CREATED by him. Man & all created things belong to God… and yet He has given us the freedom to choose Him as our God.

    Joh 18:36

    (36) Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

    2Pe 1:8-12

    (8) For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
    (9) For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
    (10) Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
    (11) for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
    (12) For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.

    Luk 17:20-21

    (20) Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation;
    (21) nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

WHAT DO WE THEN ACTUALLY ASK IF WE PRAY THAT “HIS KINGDOM COME”?

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done “ refers to God being all powerful in reign, rule, dominion, council & counsel…

ON earth As It Is In Heaven“ refers to His dominion & authority that surpasses & includes all realms, territories, cosmic, angelic, atmospheric & celestial spheres.

THE more of God’s kingdom principles that are evident in our lives, the more of His kingdom rule will have an effect on us personally & therefore effect our daily decisions & way of living.

Therefore, the principles that God has intended for us to live by, will have a direct effect in our daily living, work, relationships, health, welfare & well-being especially as it is just founded in the worship of God, in relation with the One who CREATED us.

A lot of people are more busy seeking the kingdom of the world than the Kingdom of God. Even just the normal activities of life lure us consciously & subconsciously to be “80/20” busy with the business of life.

    1. BUT God’s heart for His special covenant people was one of blessing through relationship – His Kingdom principles applied:

    Exo 19:5-6

    (5) Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.
    (6) And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

    2. HIS weighty presence & glory is here to touch & reside in us – HIs Kingdom presence within:

WHEN God speaks, instructs & teach His kingdom principles to His kingdom people here on earth, there is evidence of His weighty presence. We cannot mistake His presence for a light, obscure co-incidence of natural forces.

    Exo 19:9-11

    (9) And the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever.” …
    (10) Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes. (11) And let them be ready…

When was the last time that you felt the weightiness of His presence touch you? Do you give God time to invade your space & time… to touch you here in this physical realm with HIs presence? Do you wait long enough on Him so His presence can fill you with His glory & peace that surpasses all understanding in all your trials, tribulations, through your many questions and earthly experiences?

When last did you allow Him to instruct you as you tolerated the season of cleansing, waiting, discipline, being changed… only in Him.

    PRAYER:

    FATHER,

tonight we honour You as our great King. We ask that You help us by Your Holy Spirit to obey, to walk in the precepts, laws & guiding principles of Your kingdom. For then we will surely live from that place of intimacy & peace in the presence – within the boundary of the blessing of our King.
WE pray that You will move us to seek Your presence, be consecrated to You alone & ready to meet with You daily, waiting… until we are changed in the GLORY-PRESENCE of who You are & changed by Your HOLINESS.

    82. Meditations & Devotion – Attributes of God

27 MAY 2025 Hallelujah Devotional – Focusing on the Attributes of God

This week we will focus on a few of the Attributes of God in the light of our Lord’s Prayer.

Good evening Precious Hallelujah Family, Prayer @ the Gates Partners & Fellows.

1000 Praises to His Name. Hallelujah!

It is a great privilege again to be part in sharing these Devotions unto our Lord.

If there is one thing that keeps our faith going from strength to strength it will be through heartfelt thanksgiving to God for having Him as the eternal, only true God, our Creator, Father, Savior & perfect Redeemer in our lives.

    Introduction

SO many of us, even soaked & mature Christians still try to navigate our personal areas in life on our own. WE still attempt to make the bank account balance on our own, or to restore the relationship with a spouse, loved one or co-worker all by human effort. We attempt to keep ourselves happy & healthy by often fanatically employing our limited knowledge of & to the systems of this world, the complex highs & lows of human souls and/or the intricate complexity of the human body… in mentioning a few areas of life.

IT goes without saying that we, ourselves have definitely a major role to play in taking responsibility for our own lives and work out our salvation with fear & trembling… every decision count, the consequences thereof we will bare… and the list goes on.

YET, there has to come a point when we realize that ‘when it is all said & done’… it is in our trusting, in faith in God alone, in hope, in believing, in our going ‘In Christ’ that we truly live & have our being. It is in the Presence & through the guidance of His Holy Spirit we live.

IN Deuteronomy it says,: “that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD”. Deut 8: (3)

    SCRIPTURES:

As the Ecclesiast meditates in Ecclesiastes 5 & Ecclesiastes 9…

    Ecc 5:2

Do not be rash with your mouth, And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be few.

    Ecc 5:19-20

    (19) As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God. (20) For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart.

    Ecc 9:7-10

    (7) Go, eat your bread with joy,… For God has already accepted your works.
    (8) Let your garments always be white, And let your head lack no oil.
    (9) Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun. (10) Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might;…

    Psa 42:11

    (11) Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? HOPE in God; For I shall yet PRAISE Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

    MESSAGE for DEVOTION:

THEREFORE, as we pray tonight, let us think what this prayer is all about & what are we actually saying…

    1. Our Father who art in heaven:

Father , we acknowledge that you are loving, compassionate & caring. You are all knowing, above all earthly restrains, limitations & boundaries. That You hold it all in Your hands and will perform Your will through Your mighty right arm.

    2. Hallowed be Thy name:

Your Name & Your Word are above all things created.

    3. By addressing God as “Our Father….”, we allow ourselves then to become:

3.1 Dependent upon His LOVE – His love is the only resource that will completely satisfy, replenish, restore, heal, refresh & revive you in spirit, soul & body.

3.2 Subject & yielding to His :- authority, discipline, guidance & need for His wisdom

If we “dare” to call Him “Father”, we should relinquish all ability or self-will to break away from His wisdom, guidance, correction, teaching (through HIs written & spoken Word) but be given over to Him in acknowledgement of our utter need for His wisdom & lead in all areas & arenas of our lives.

    Deu 8:17-19

    (17) then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’
    (18) “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
    (19) Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the LORD your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.

We will commit the ‘sin of idolatry’ if we expect any human being, event, institution or experience to satisfy, counsel, help, heal, comfort or sustain us in full and/or our need for relevance, purpose, worth, happiness or joy.

Our emotionally & soulish needs have to be nourished, guided & directed through the Holy Spirit’s presence, intervention, God’s wisdom & authentic manifestation of God’s PEACE.

OUR physical and temporal necessities are governed by His will as ours are relinquished into His in utmost trusting faith in God alone.

    PRAYER:

    Father,

By addressing You, God, as our Father, we declare Your positioning in a higher abode, realm beyond our human understanding.

We therefore position ourselves as Your children, in submission to You as our Father, & hereby make declarations of honour, worship, respect, deep affinity in our relationship with you. Hereby, indicating to You that we are willing & utterly aware of the necessity of entering into a continuous relationship with You & therefore positioned in You for our own God-given inheritance, favour & a beneficial existence in You as our parenting guide in an affectionate relation to establish us daily in all of lives’ alleys & valleys – IN YOUR LOVING ARMS of PEACE.

Thank you, God,  for being my Father.

    Grace & Fire

    81. PRAYER POINTERS – DAYS of AWE

    Theme : DAYS of AWE

LET US JOURNEY TOGETHER IN PRAYER!

If you were living during the time of Christ, having just experienced His death & resurrection & seen Him walk amongst you in His resurrected body… how would you have spent your next 50 days?

What would your mindset, priority list, & key focus, opinions and concerns be?
    With whom would you reconcile?
What will you adjust or change to be aligned with and for Christ’s mission in your life ?

Let us WALK WITH CHRIST as if it was ‘just after His resurrection’:

    1. Pray to Re-ignite Reverential Awe & the Worship of Christ. Present yourself to God – Be cleansed, Be set free… Let His Fire fall on you!

Deu 5:24 ‘Surely the LORD our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire.
Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me… He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

    2. Pray for tenacity to pursue to know God more – learn from & about Him.
[how to pray, how to live, to love… to serve, to love God with all your heart, mind & strength]

    1Co 1:20-21

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21. For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

    3. Repent for sins, transgressions, trespasses & iniquities.

Tit 1:16 They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.

Repent of unbelieve & lack of faith. Renew your trust in God & His goodness. Remember His faithfulness in the past!

Mar 4:40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”

    4. Examine your thoughts, words & deeds. Is there anything or any relation pulling you away from God & His presence?

Isa 28:12-13 He offered rest and comfort to all of you, but you refused to listen to him. That is why the LORD is going to teach you letter by letter, line by line, lesson by lesson.

Act 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

    5. Consider the meditations of your heart. You & God know what the truth is. Evaluate what spirit or motive is behind your thoughts, words & actions?

    2Co 1:17-22

    (17) Therefore, when I was planning this, did I do it lightly? Or the things I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be Yes, Yes, and No, No? (20) For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
    (22) who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
Is God perhaps trying to get through to you to help you right…? Thank Him for His Fatherly compassion, concern, discipline, wisdom & guidance in your life.

    Deu 8:3
So, He humbled you, allowed you to hunger… that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD.

Heb 12:5 “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him.

    6. Re-evaluate your relationship with God.
Draw near to God as if walking with Him (as if it’s the 40 days before His ascension).

    Jud 1:20-21

    (20) But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
    (21) keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

    Heb 10:38-39

    (38) now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”
    (39) But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

    7. Re-evaluate your focus & time spent with God. Consider how much do you value God in your life, your commitment to Him & the things of God.

    Deu10:12
“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

    Psa 103:1-2 (Read Ps103)
Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! … (2) And forget not all His benefits.

    8. Consider what Christ has done for you.

Heb 7:25 He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Jas 5:15 the prayer of faith will save the sick… if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Joh 1:12-13 12. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13. who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

    9. Forgiving others – give people a new slate every new day. Give people “the benefit of the doubt”. Start trusting again. His mercies are new every morning!

Luk 6:37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Mat 5:23-24 (23) Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, (24) leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

    10. Receive your forgiveness – make right with God!

1Jn1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

ENVISION the days AFTER CHRIST’S ASCENSION :

    11. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to wait on Him.

To renew your strength by the spirit… not to run with chariots (own strength) but by trusting in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Haggai 2:20 – 23, Is 31:1, Ps20:7, Act1:8)

    12. Ask Holy Spirit to guide you in renewing your mind to the truth of the Holy Scriptures.

    Rom 8:6-9 GNB

    6. To be controlled by human nature results in death; to be controlled by the Spirit results in life and peace. Those who obey their human nature cannot please God. 9. But you do not live as your human nature tells you to; instead, you live as the Spirit tells you to—if, in fact, God’s Spirit lives in you. Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

Are you living for the honour & glory of God?

    13. Consider a new beginning, start the race of faith anew, consider His eternal inheritance for us!

    Col 1:9-12 (9) …that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (10) that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
    (11) strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; (12) giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be
partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

PRACTICAL LIFE & CURRENT LIFE ISSUES

    14. Re-evaluate your relationships – with your family, co-workers, family of God & others in your influence sphere.

Do you have unrealistic expectations of yourself / others / God? Do you love others as yourself? Do you perhaps destroy others with you words or lack of tact or respect?

Jas 5:20 For the one who restores the sinning believer back to God from the error of his way, gives back to his soul life from the dead, and covers over countless sins by their demonstration of love!

    15. Pray for reconciliation of relationships & refresh your heart with hope in trusting God for – restoration in love, compassion, much grace & mercy amongst men.

Pro 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.

Pro 17:9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends.

1Pe 4:8 Above everything, love one another earnestly, because love covers over many sins.

    16. Re-evaluate our relationship with the things of the world – money, wealth, idols in our life, hobbies, possessions, busy-ness.

What are you chasing after? What is chasing you?

Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Mat 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Gal 5:16 Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.

    17. Let us re-evaluate our decisions & default opinions and/or position on life’s key topics.

Do you pursue unrealistically after success, [status, perfection, self-importance, aspirations/dreams, power, positions or fame, frivolities (idleness, airs, superficial)]? Do you live a life of integrity, truth, love, servanthood & generosity?

Deu 8:17 then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’
Deu 8:18 “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth,…

    18. Bring your own life’s challenges in prayer : work, health, finances & your concerns for your family, the next generation. Lay hold of His Word’s promises!

Psa 128:1-6 Blessed Is Everyone Who Fears the Lord
Happy are those who obey the LORD, who live by his commands. 2. Your work will provide for your needs; you will be happy and prosperous.

    4. A man who obeys the LORD will surely be blessed like this. 5. May the LORD bless you from Zion! May you see Jerusalem prosper all the days of your life! 6. May you live to see your grandchildren! Peace be with Israel!

    19. Pray for the peace of S.A., Israel, our town/area. Current politics, social injustice, crime, lack of truth, love, integrity & deception in the world around you.

Isa 62:6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem /S.A. ; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent,
Isa 28:5-6 (5) A day is coming when the LORD Almighty will be like a glorious crown of flowers for his people who survive. (6) He will give a sense of justice to those who serve as judges, and courage to those who defend the city gates from attack.
Eze 22:30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

Praying as you are seated with Christ in heavenly places:

    20. Thank the Lord for being our Head, Master, Leader…

bringing our thoughts captive to obedience of the truth, of our salvation only in & through Him – His name. (2Cor10:3 – 6)
    Eph 4:11-15
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.

    21. Thank Him for His Word – for us to digest, & live according to its precepts to the full. To use it as our guide, shield & buckler.

“Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” Ps 119:105

    22. Embrace the Holy Spirit’s leading, guidance, as the very breath of life in you.

Isa 11:2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him–the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord—

    23. Pray for the maturing, protection & growth of the Body of Christ.

Pray for the expansion of the kingdom of God & the harvest of souls to come in. Pray for the preparation of our souls to meet our Saviour & King.

    Joh 15:7-8
    (7) If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then you will ask for anything you wish, and you shall have it.
    (8) My Father’s glory is shown by your bearing much fruit; and in this way you become my disciples.

    24. Thank Him for His Blood – the cleansing, protection & atonement power of the blood. For His love for you!

    Lev 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls;

    Rev 12:10-11

    (10) “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. (11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

    25. Clothe yourself with CHRIST & WHO He is?

    Read : Revelations 4:5-11 & 5:5 – 14.

    Col 1:15-20
    (15) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. (16) For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
    (17) And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. (18) And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the pre-eminence. (19) For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
    (20) and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

    26. Declare yourself willing to “go”, to make disciples & be part of the harvesters.

Isa 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.

    27. Stand in the integrity of His Word, His council… firm foundation of FAITH. Declare your faith again.

Heb 6:15 after he (Abraham) had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
Heb 6:19-20 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, which enters the Presence behind the veil,… 20. where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Isa 59:16 He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; …

    FAITH PRAYS!

    28. Re-consider the importance of the Armour of God.

    Eph 6:10-17

    (10) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (11) PUT ON the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (12) For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

(13)Therefore, TAKE UP the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
    (14) STAND therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
    (15) having shod your feet (WALK) with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
    (16) above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
    (17) take the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
    (18) praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

    29. Declare His word & blessing over the local Church’s spiritual leaders, members & new souls.

    Heb 6:9-11
    (9) But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner. (10) For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. (11) And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end…

    30. Pray into – 7 spheres of society/nation/local area.

Family (all relationships), Faith (church), Government, Finance, Science & Technology, Arts & Culture, Media.

    31. Pray for the expulsion of all evil – in this town / area & nation’s corridors of government.

Jer 29:7 And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.
2Co 6:1-13 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left.

    32. Speak out this blessing over yourself/your family.

Num 6:22-27 The LORD commanded Moses to tell Aaron and his sons to use the following words in blessing the people of Israel:

“ May the LORD bless you and take care of you; May the LORD be kind and gracious to you; May the LORD look on you with favor and give you peace.

And the LORD said, “If they pronounce my name as a blessing upon the people of Israel, I will bless them.”

    Walking With JESUS

If you were walking with Jesus today along the way… What would your discussion with Him entails…? What would you say to Him? If you would go to heaven today, what do you think God would say to you ? What would you like Him to say to you ? If this was your last day on earth, what would you have chosen to do… and what to let go of ?

    33. Finally : Pray The Lord’s Prayer together with someone.

    Mat 6:9-13 TPT

    (9) ‘Our Father, dwelling in the heavenly realms, may the glory of Your name be the center on which our lives turn. (10) Manifest Your kingdom realm, and cause Your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is fulfilled in heaven. (11) We acknowledge You as our Provider of all we need each day. (12) Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged us. (13) Rescue us every time we face tribulation and set us free from evil. For You are the King who rules with power and glory forever. Amen.’

    Psa 42:11
Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

Thank you for praying with us!

    Rom 15:13
May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing. Amen & amen!

    80. Revival – Learning from Previous Revivals

Day 7. Learned from Previous Revivals -Stir Up the Spirit of Revival through the Gifts & Fruit of the Holy Spirit In Expectation of His Second Coming.

Good Evening, dear Family of God

    EVENING DEVOTION

Through these past few days, we saw how revival comes through the working of the Holy Spirit to bring reformation in our personal & family lives. This, to ignite revival in the church & society around us as the gifts & fruit of the Holy Spirit start to function through our lives.

    KEY QUESTIONS FOR PERSONAL APPLICATION

How can the demonstration of Faith through the Gifts & the Fruit of the Holy Spirit work through us to revive, transform & reform Society?

    1. WE are to WAIT on Him
    Act 2:1-4

    (1)  When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
    (2)  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. (3)  Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. (4)  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

    Acts1:8, Acts2:4, 17-18, 33, 38; Acts4:8-13, 19-22, 24, 28-31 . See Scriptures below

    2. We LIVE through His covenant promises, laws written on our hearts & His Spirit poured out on us. (Heb 10:14-16).

Therefore, we are being empowered through the Gifts given & the Fruit of the Spirit kindled to bring about reformation in & about us through His love for us all.
    (Heb 2:4; 1Cor 12; 14:12, Eph 4:8, Rom 12)

    3. The FRUIT links us to the character of Holy Spirit and His working of the gifts through us as He pleases for the good of all.
    Heb 2:4

    (4) God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

    4. The GIFTS empower us to do His will & unlock the ministry, power & offices of Christ to be established on earth through our lives – being His hands & feet, to touch this broken world.
    Heb 10:14-16.

    (14) For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
    (15) But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, (16) “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,”

    Eph 4:7-8

    (7) But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
    (8) Therefore He says: “WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE, AND GAVE GIFTS TO MEN.”

    SUMMARY LEARNED FROM PREVIOUS REVIVALS

Through the hearts of sincere believers, there was…

    a. A Desperation for the renewal of the church’s mission & purpose.
    b. A sincere need to recover the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit & the spiritual power of God.
    c. The Body of Christ united beyond denominations, across Pentecostal & Protestant boundaries through an INBREAK of the Holy spirit. Therefore, named “The Charismatic Movement”,- coming from the Greek word ‘Charismata’ :- Please see more in detail on my attached Blog Post.

WHAT IS THE RESULT OF REVIVAL?

Revival stirs up a NEW message of HOPE through the CHURCH,

    (1) to the CHURCH itself,

    (2) to a NATION, &

    (3) to the NEXT GENERATIONS.

As we’ve just learned from the past revivals we now know that revivals came about where there was a renewed outcry for:

    (1) “The renewal of Faith’s Mission & Purpose through the church & individual members”,
    (2) “Sincere believers to recover the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit, which empowered & strengthened the early Christians” – an inbreaking from the Holy Spirit demonstrated over denominations in the speaking in tongues & baptism in the Holy Spirit – that brought “enduement of spiritual power for intensified service”
    (3) This “inbreaking of the Holy Spirit linked both mainline Protestant & Pentecostal movements to be reveres to as the Charismatic movement – from “charismata”(Gr) referring to 1Cor12:4,30 – Gifts of The Holy Spirit. (Spirit Filled Bible – paraphrased notes)

    PERSONAL APPLICATION

    – How are we to go about this move of God, in this decisive moment in time to bring about revival?

    a. We are in need of this message of revival & reformation to now be amplified across this nation by the AWAKENING of the church to the renewed clarion ‘call’ that God is not ‘dead’.
Therefore, a Trumpet-Alarm is to be sounded that Jesus is alive & that God will do what He has intended from the beginning of time!
    b. There should arise a desperate outcry – to be heard for the different church denominations & faith movements to unite for the move of God across the globe also in preparation for His second Coming!
    c. The Church has to be awakened to this message to GO & spread the NEWS by demonstrating God’s Love, Power & Presence in the world out there. Starting in our neighborhoods’, streets, villages & parks & marketplace.

    PRAYER

    Rev 12:10-11

    (10) “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. (11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

    Thank you, Lord Jesus,

that we can go & do this in Your Name. For we know that the Church has been destined to overcome our enemy by the Blood of our Savior that was shed for us. Also through the powerful word of our testimony of Jesus, our Lord & Redeemer.

Thank you Lord. In Jesus Name we pray.

    Amen & Amen.

Thank you for the privilege to could share from my heart.
    Alna.

    Scriptures:

    Act 2:38-39

    (38)  Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
    (39)  For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

    79. Entering Into Peace& His Rest -Testimony of Christ

Day 6. – Entering by Grace into His PEACE & REST by FAITH & our Secure Testimony of Jesus.

    Shabbat Shalom dear Faith Family

    EVENING DEVOTION

Tonight, we want to position ourselves afresh in His REST through FAITH as we know that we are being sent to stir up the spirit of revival wherever we are. This be pleasing to God as we go & have our being through our TESTIMONY & declaration of our utmost Faith in Christ alone.

    Heb 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

    1. The following Scripture equates unbelief with having an evil heart.

    Heb 3:7-19

    (7) Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “TODAY, if you will hear His voice.
    (12) Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; (13) but exhort one another daily, while it is called “TODAY,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

    2. We are encouraged to walk this road of faith holding on to our confidence in Christ as we partake IN Him, steadfast till the end in order to enter God’s rest through faith.

    Heb 3:14,18-19

    (14) For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end. (18) And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? (19) So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

    3. This will happen as we keep on believing, and having faith in Who He is, trusting in God alone for what He is about to do in our lives, in our nation through the mighty working of His power.

    Heb 4:1-2

    (1) Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. (2) For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

    4. We all need these encouragements from God’s heart to be revealed to us, that we do not grow weary. To move us towards pursuing ‘the more of God” that we all so long for. We tend to forget and need to be reminded of the excellent ministry of Christ, our perfect Saviour, Master & Redeemer.

    Heb 8:6

But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

    Jer 33:2-3

    (2) “Thus says the LORD who made it, the LORD who formed it to establish it (the LORD is His name): (3) ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

    Heb 4:16

    (16) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

What is your Testimony of Christ?

    Rev 19:10 (AMPC) …

I am [only] another servant with you and your brethren who have [accepted and hold] the testimony borne by Jesus. Worship God!

For the substance (essence) of the truth revealed by Jesus is the spirit of all prophecy [the vital breath, the inspiration of all inspired preaching and interpretation of the divine will and purpose, including both mine and yours].
For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (NKJV)

    Prayer:

    Father,

we kneel before Your Throne in utmost reverence. We come in this day with faith in our Lord Jesus & in the perfect work He did on the Cross. We come with boldness to be helped on the right time. Our nation, social society, the Body of Christ & our personal lives are in desperate need for a move of God to revive us & bring reformation in every sphere of Life. We bring our lives and trust You alone to heal us… to heal our land.
We bow before You now, to rise up in Your strength in joy & utmost faith, choosing to GO with our secure TESTMONTY of Jesus, the only Saviour & Redeemer. He is the only answer to this world!

We pray & declare this in Jesus Name.
    Amen

    78. Devotional Thoughts – Be Revived through the Holy Spirit

Day 5. – Being Revived through The Working of His Spirit

Shabbat Shalom Prayer Partners & Faith Fellows

    EVENING DEVOTION

    Rev 22:16 – 18

    (16)  “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”
    (17)  And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
    (18)  For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book:

    Ezr 9:8

    (8)  And now for a little while grace has been shown from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage.

Let us ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to us the things of God. That our faith-life can be relevant & authentic from the heart of God in this day & hour – effective out there where HE sends us.

    1Co 2:11-12

    (11)  For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. (12)  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

Let us revisit the purpose of the diversity of the Gifts to flow through all of us for the profit of all.

    1Co 12:6-7

    (6)  And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.

    (7)  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

Let us stir up the message of repentance, baptism in the Holy Spirit to stand up in a new life in Christ; that many can now come in & be added to the Household of God.

    Act 2:38-41

    (38)  Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

    (39)  For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

    (40)  …”Be saved from this perverse generation.” (41)  Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

Let us pursue God for His message of HOPE to infiltrate the heart of every man, women & child. To experience the joy & peace through the experience of new found revelation of Faith. Now in this time that we seek & petition God for the Revival-Fires to be lit again.

    Rom 15:11-12

    (11)  And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise Him! [Psa 117:1]

    (12)  And further Isaiah says, There shall be a Sprout from the Root of Jesse, He Who rises to rule over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles hope. [Isa 11:1, 10; Rev 5:5; Rev 22:16]

    Psa 117:1-2
    (1)  Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!
    (2)  For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!

    Isa 11:1-5

    (1)  There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
    (2)  The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.

    (3)  His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
    (4)  But with righteousness He shall judge the poor. And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth. And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
    (5)  Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

Praying a Shabbat blessing over you :

    Rom 15:13

May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.

    Prayer:

Thank Your Lord, for the sending us the Holy Spirit and the endowment of all His attributes, gifts, helps in strengthening us towards greater faith through the righteousness, peace & joy in the Holy Spirit.

We pray & receive this in Jesus’ name.

    Amen

    77. Meditations & Devotion – What is your life-message?

    Day 4. – What is our LIFE-MESSAGE?

We’ve been sent to “GO” with a GOOD NEWS life-message. What should this consist of?

    EVENING DEVOTION

Tonight, we are encouraged to think about the message that goes out from our heart’s meditations, words, & actions to those around us. What is our life-message that we speak about, portrait & live out to the world around us?

As we read the following Scriptures let us consider some leading questions to meditate on.

    1. Does my life-message lead others to salvation & individual revival?

Our salvation message has to go along with Scriptures on the assurance of salvation, helping the believer not to base salvation on a feeling or emotion but on the Word of Truth.

Scriptures on Salvation and the Assurance of Salvation:

    John 3:16, Rom 5:5-11, Rom10:10-13, John1:12, 1John 5:11-12, Rev 3:20.

    2. Does it originate from truth or opinion?

We have to speak about the truth of Christ’s gospel message.

    Joh 16:7-11

    (7) Nevertheless I tell you the truth. … I will send Him (the Helper) to you.
    (8) And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: (9) of sin, because they do not believe in Me; (10) of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; (11) of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

    3. Does my message help people making changes towards victorious living & life transformation?

    Rom 8:5-6

    (5) For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. (6) For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

    4. Does our message of revival move people to responsibility for their free will choices?

Time is short… Our message should bring revelation of the consequences of all our choices in this life & lead towards taking responsibility for our choices.

    Deu 30:19-20

    (19) I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
    (20) that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days…

    Heb 3:13

    (13) but exhort one another daily, while it is called “TODAY,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

    5. Does it bring conviction of God’s love & hope in a better future?

The Holy Spirit is our Guarantee of the better promises, the message that can bring about revival in each heart & hope for a better future because of God’s love.

    2Co 1:20-22

    (20) For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
    (21) Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God,
    (22) who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

“LOVE WILL COVER A MULTITUDE OF SINS.”
    1Pe 4:7-10

    (7)  But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
    (8)  And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “LOVE WILL COVER A MULTITUDE OF SINS.”
    (9)  Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
    (10)  As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

    Prayer:

Abba Father, thank you for the message of Life to go out to each individual we meet. Help us to know by Your Spirit what Your hearts is for every soul you send on our path. Sharpen our discernment & help us to obey Your voice to bring revival wherever we are.
We pray this in Jesus’ name.

    Amen

    SCRIPTURES as under point 1

    Joh 3:16-17

    (16)  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
    (17)  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

    Joh 1:12-14

    (12)  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
    (13)  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
    (14)  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

    Rom 5:5-11

    (5)  Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
    (6)  For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
    (7)  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.

    (8)  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
    (9)  Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

    (10)  For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
    (11)  And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

    1Jn 5:10-12

    (10)  He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.
    (11)  And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
    (12)  He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

    Rev 3:20-22

    (20)  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
    (21)  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
    (22)  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ‘ “

    75. 2 Revival Starts With Me, My Household, My Family

    2. Day 2 – Revival Starts With Me, My Household, My Family.

    Heb 12:28

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”

    KEY THOUGHTS

Revival starts with the individual & the families in our society. It starts with me, my household and my family sphere.
Are we & our families “right with God”?

    Scripture : 2 Sam 23:3-5

Last Words of David – A king & a leader to God’s Nation – A Father & Grandfather – The priest of His Household.

    (3) The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me: ‘He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God.
    (4) And he shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, A morning without clouds, Like the tender grass springing out of the earth, By clear shining after rain.’
    (5) “Although my house is not so with God, Yet He has made with me an everlasting covenant, Ordered in all things and secure. For this is all my salvation and all my desire; Will He not make it increase?

Here we have a king who bears his heart about the state of His household. Trusting that God will secure them in a right relationship with Him and make their faith in God grow.

PERSONAL APPLICATION: Leading ourselves before we lead others

Let us consider afresh, where we are with the Lord. Where our families & loved ones are with God and where our next generation is heading in their relationship with God? How are we leading them?

We are encouraged through David’s example to continue in fervent prayer for our children & their children… the next generations.

REFORMATION APPLICATION: Ask the important questions

As a family unit & faith fellows we are also then commissioned to “GO” to the nations, doing our part in having a dynamic & powerful impact in the world out there for His kingdom to come & His purposes to be fulfilled.

It is time that the right questions are being asked again in society & for us to be actively part of God’s army that will bring about change, reformation and align people back to God’s ways.
The time is here to become bold in leading ourselves, our neighbors, fellow brothers & sisters & those we encounter on our pathways in much love & grace, to answer to the most important questions of their lives.

    WHO DO YOU SERVE?

    Jos 24:15

And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

WHO DO YOU SAY JESUS IS?

    Mat 16:16

    (16) Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

WHICH REVELATION DO YOU BUILD YOUR LIFE UPON?

    Mat 16:17-18

    (17) Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
    (18) And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

    PRAYER:

Father, we humble ourselves in Your great presence and we ask that through Your Holy Spirit, You will secure us, our families and loved ones in the foundational truth of your Good News & Biblical Principles. By grace we desire to become part of a new move of God across this nation.

We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord & Saviour.
    Amen
